Dad went to see his heart doctor yesterday. He is putting him back on his blood pressure meds. The good news is that the doctor was ok with dad going off of his blood clot shots. Instead, dad will be taking a pill that will do the same thing. This was great news for the family as dad belly is sore and bruised from all the shots. The doctor wants him to come back in 6 months.
In addition, his heart doctor was so happy to hear the good news that dad is in remission. Months ago, before chemo started, my dad had to go to this doctor to get approval for treatment since my dad’s heart is in afib (meaning it does not beat regular). The heart doctor took out a pocket cross from his pants and asked my parents if it was ok to pray with them. After the prayer, the doctor asked for a blessing. He put this cross on my dad’s heart and asked God to heal my dad. So here we are in present time, my dad visiting the heart doctor and telling him the good news: dad in remission and it was a moment to be reminded of all who prayed for my family over the last few months.
